Space Difference Research on Coupling Development between
Green Urbanization and Ecological Environment in Poyang Lake
Ecological and Economical Zone - Data Analysis Based on

Abstract: Poyang Lake Ecological and Economic Zone (hereinafter referred to as Poyang Lake Zone), as the
demonstrative ecological and economic zone centering environmental protection, its coupling development
between green urbanization and ecological need to be realized. The research is guided by index mechanism and
aims to establish comprehensive evaluating system towards level of green urbanization and ecological
environment of Poyang Lake Zone, therefore to evaluate the 9 representative zones about green urbanization
and ecological environment, as well as calculation to coupling degree and coordination degree between green
urbanization and ecological environment in all areas during 2008-2014. By adopting exploratory space and data
analysis, the paper discusses space difference of coupling and coordination degree between green urbanization
and ecological environment in the whole area. The result demonstrated that a layout of obvious partial space
concentration about coupling and coordination is come into form, and space difference in regional coordination
is remarkable.

1. Introduction
The comprehensiveness and continuity are
emphasized in development of green urbanization,
which is a long-term and balanced developing mode.
Compared to traditional urbanization, green
urbanization values more about allocation efficiency
between population, industry and space resources. By
solving problems such as high energy consumption,
severe discharging, haze, over-exploration of water
resource and environmental pollution due to fast
urbanization, it is easy to see that the key to solve
urban disease is to pay more attention to
environmental protection during urbanization. In
April 2015, the Central Committee of CPC and State
Council published “Opinions on Accelerating
Ecological Construction” and put forward that green
urbanization and development should be accelerated
to realize comprehensive and continuous development
of China [1].
Good ecological environment demonstrates the level
of green urbanization, and green urbanization grantees
the continuous development of ecological
environment, which makes the coupling development
between the two elements more important than ever.
Qiu Gaohui (2015) adopted entropy weight method
and coupling coordination model to evaluate quality
and regional difference of new urbanization at Henan
and put forward relative suggestions. Started from
ecological problems in fast urbanization [2], Li Hui
(2015) put forward respective solutions to solve
ecological issues to promote the coordinative
development between new urbanization and
ecological construction [3]. Yuan Dan and Ou
Xiangjun (2015) established a comprehensive
evaluating mechanism to analyze coordination
between urbanization and ecological development in
coastal areas in the view of space and time. Based on
coupling analysis about developing quality and
environmental carrying capacity of Chongqing during
new urbanization [5], Zhang Yin and Yang Qingyuan
(2016) found spatial variation regulation and various
types in coupling rate [6]. Fang Chuanglin and Zhou
Chenghu (2016) systematically analyzed non-linear
coupling and characters existing in mutual effect
between natural and human elements in megalopolis
system and built up relative theory frame. Some other
scholars have built up comprehensive evaluating
index system towards green urbanization to analyze
its development and put forward scientific suggestions
in the view of ecological environment [7-10]. The
research content shows that coordination between
green urbanization and ecological environment has
become a hot issue.
As one of the strategic and experimental zones in
green urbanization development of China, the
coupling development in Poyang Lake Zone will
provide strong force in accelerating its harmonious
