Through the role of logotherapy as depicted in the movie the Fault in Our Star released in 2014, a suit sweet cancer couple, Gus and Hazel imply to the viewers that life is full of hardship but always seems to stand tall to face it. This literary research aims to conduct an overview of the literature on the interrelationships of the dimensions of human existence based on logotherapy theory. Nevertheless, this literary research applies the qualitative descriptive research, and uses the psychological theory of literature as the basis by which to analyze the characters in movie. The research results regarding the meaning of life refer to different features of the variable of logotherapy models in terms of Frankl’s ȋͷ97ͶȌ theory. Moreover, (azel and Gus succeed to be well combated the psychological disorder and fulfilled the freedom of will, the form of logotherapy in striving the lively life. Keywords: logotherapy, the meaning of life, human existence INTRODUCTION Dying, loss of faith, sink in the very bottom of the Pacific then never being able to lift back, and gloss over the meaning of life are the most decidedly often discovered as big deals in human being. DzDepression’s not a side effect of cancer, it’s a side effect of dyingdz (Neustadter and Weber 1). The value of life may be acute for cancer survivors, numbers of them get down, frustrated, and frightened beyond belief. Even, they stop believing in the existence of God because of suffering. Virtually, misery and dying are indeed not good circumstances. However, those also can be meant something else for people to learn about being persistent. Kent says: In one sense, suffering is certainly not good. Rather, it is a sign of the abnormality of the world. However, in another sense, suffering can be turned into a good deed, a moral value, by the way a person bears up under it. Suffering can Dzmakedz or Dzbreakdz a person, either ennobling or degrading him or her. (3) Henceforth, for Hazel and Gus, a suit sweet couple, the extraordinary main characters in the four star American movie the Fault in Our Stars have different schemes to fight against cancer. The deadly malignant four stage cancer is unbelievably an eye opened for them within the meaning of life. The novelty of this literary research is to conduct the concept of logotherapy which is commonly used by psychiatrist to treat patient in real life. In fact, the use of logotherapy purposed to the prisoners and rehab which dealing with high levels of depression. However, this literary research implicates the role of logotherapy in examining the literary works which is extremely different from the objectives of the logotherapy in primary. Wong utters, logotherapy is actually different from psychoanalysis, logotherapy inclines to be used by the psychiatrist to do therapy through meaning (13). Pursuant to Frankl, the contriver of the logotherapy theory (1970) expresses that the meaning of life is something essential for human being, hence, he believes that strong spirituality is the core dimension in achieving the meaning of life, and indubitably that weak spirituality leads people to failure in acquiring so.
