Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan klorofil-a pada fitoplankton dan hubungan kandungan klorofil-a pada fitoplankton terhadap parameter fisika- kimia perairan di Teluk Tanjungpinang Kepulauan Riau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey dan analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kosentrasi klorofil-a di perairan Teluk Tanjungpinang Kepulauan Riau pada kedalaman 0,2- 0,5 meter berkisar antara 9,52- 15,07 μg/l dan dikategorikan sebagai perairan yang cukup produktif. Hubungan kandungan klorofil-a pada fitoplankton terhadap parameter fisika- kimia perairan di Teluk Tanjungpinang Kepulauan Riau adalah kuat, hasil analisis regresi didapat nilai koefisien korelasi (R) dengan nilai 0,966, nilai Adjusted R 2 0,934, artinya persentase sumbangan pengaruh variabel suhu, kecerahan, DO, pH, nitrat dan fosfat terhadap klorofil-a pada fitoplankton adalah sebesar 93,4% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kata kunci: Fitoplankton, Klorofil-a pada fitoplankton, Parameter fisika- kimia perairan ABSTRACT The coastal waters gets input from discharges of human activities (residential, transportation and industry) in the surrounding area and resulted in a change of physical, chemical, and biological factors in the waters. This research aims to determine the contents of chlorophyll-a in phytoplankton and it’s correlation with the physico- chemical parameters of waters in the Gulf of Tanjungpinang Riau Islands. The method used in this research was a survey method and analysis of the data using multiple linear regression. The results of this research shows that the concentration of chlorophyll-a in the waters of Tanjungpinang Gulf Riau Islands at a depth of 0,2- 0,5 meters ranged from 9,52- 15,07 μg/l and categorized as a fairly productive waters. Content of chlorophyll-a correlation in phytoplankton of the physico- chemical parameters of waters in the Gulf of Tanjungpinang Riau Islands was strong, regression analysis results obtained correlation coefficient (R) with a value 0,966, Adjusted R 2 value 0,934, which means the contribution percentage of the influence temperature variable, brightness, DO, pH, nitrate and phosphate to the chlorophyll-a in phytoplankton amounted to 93,4 % and the rest influenced by other factors.
