Faculty member of the Department of Foreign Languages Education at Boğaziçi University Professor Belma Haznedar, PhD.; faculty member of the Department of General Linguistics of Faculty of Letters in Dokuz Eylül University Professor Doğan Günay, PhD; faculty member of the Department of Turkish Education of Faculty of Education in İstanbul University Professor Selahattin Dilidüzgün, PhD and Education Counsellor of the Republic of Turkey in Berlin, Germany Professor Cemal Yıldız, PhD were the honoured guests of this academic meeting held in the 13 th century historical halls of Ghent University where many academicians, teachers and lecturers from eight countries came together. Some of the symposium presentations were converted into articles by the au- thors. hese articles were assessed one more time by the reviewers via a “blind review” process. he accepted articles were inalised ater the correction propos- als in accordance with the reports of the reviewers. he articles weren’t changed instead of the examinations of the scientiic board considering the “Article Writing Instructions” within the frame of scientiic criteria. We would like to thank the authors for sharing their articles with us and the scientiic reviewers for contributing to the book.
