67 INVESTIGACIONES SOCIALES Los nuevos rostros de la música andina a través de los instrumentos musicales Román Robles Mendoza Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos hermanovallejo@hotmail.com RESUMEN La música es en todas partes un importante componente de la cultura de los pueblos, para darle solemnidad a los rituales establecidos y proporcionarle alegría a sus ceremonias y fiestas costumbristas de todo tipo. En este trabajo hacemos una rápida revisión del uso tradicional de los instrumentos musicales en los Andes del Perú y del proceso de cambios en la conformación de las organizaciones musicales ocurrido a partir de la introducción de instrumentos europeos. La perspectiva general del tratamiento de los instrumentos musica- les se apoya en las informaciones empíricas del antiguo Cajatambo, región ubicada al norte de Lima y sur de Ancash. ABSTRACT Music is in everywhere, an important component of the culture of the towns, to give solemnity to the established rituals and to provide joy to its ceremonies and custom celebrations of all type. In this work we make a fast revision of the traditional use of the musical instruments in the Andes of the Peru and the process of changes in the conformation of the musical organizations happened from the introduction of European instruments. The general perspective of the treatment of the musical instruments leans in the empirical information of the old Cajatambo, region located to the north of Lima and the south of Ancash.
