The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated by IR, 1 H%NMR, 13 C%NMR, and mass spectroscopic techniques. The synthesized compounds were screened for in%vivo analgesic activity at a dose of 20 mg/kg body weight. Among them, compounds +, +( and +$ exhibited significant analgesic activity and compounds +/ and +- exhibited highly significant activity comparable with standard drug Diclofenac sodium using Acetic acid induced writhing model. Compounds +, +/ and +- were further evaluated for acute%ulcerogenesis activity.
