Therefore, it is necessary for tourism students to equip themselves with foreign language skills. Thus, the study aims to understand the perceptions of tourism students towards learning foreign languages. It highlights the language preferences, which listed German, Spanish and Japanese languages as most preferred foreign languages due to available job opportunities in Aurangabad district. Survey outcomes helped the researchers to come forward with important suggestive measures so as to enhance their foreign language skills. Introduction: Tourism: From simple travel of yester years, tourism phenomenon today has become a very complex activity encompassing a wide range of relationship. According to UNWTO recommendations, tourism comprise the activities of persons travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes. Simply defined, tourism can be considered to be a movement of people away from their normal place of residence (Raina & Lodha, 2004). As per McIntosh and Goldner, Tourism is the sum of the phenomena and relationship arising from the interactions of tourists, business, host government and host communities in the process attracting and hosting these tourists and other visitors.
