Dear reader, Many thanks for your interest in this book chapter: Verhoeven, G., 2016. Basics of photography for cultural heritage imaging, in: Stylianidis, E., Remondino, F. (Eds.), 3D Recording, Documentation and Management of Cultural Heritage. Whittles Publishing, Caithness, pp. 127–251. This document features two small additions which one will not find in the printed book. The first one is a list of the most commonly used acronyms and abbreviations in the text. Although they are all explained upon first use, one might easily forget what an acronym or abbreviation stands for. As such, this list should be a great help. Second, I also listed my original numbering of the text sections. Although the final text still features the same hierarchical structure as the initially submitted one, the lack of a multi-level numbering system and a lay-outing which does not easily distinguishes headings of different levels, made me decide to attach my original Table of Contents here as well. Certainly for section 4.6, this will make the text much easier to read and understand which parts belong together. Thanks for your understanding and happy reading. Geert Vienna, 2016-08-18
