ALCUNHAS E (I)MIGRAÇÃO NO SUL DA AMAZÔNIA MERIDIONAL NICKNAMES AND (I)MIGRATION IN THE SOUTH OF THE SOUTHERN AMAZON Fernando Hélio Tavares de Barros 1 , Lucas Löff Machado 2 , Neusa Inês Philippsen 3 RESUMO: Contextos de multilinguismo e plurilinguismo na sociedade se manifestam, entre outras formas, através do ato de nomear. A alcunha é uma das manifestações mais espontâneas desse fenômeno e constitui um dos interesses da Antroponomástica (disciplina afiliada à Onomástica). Sua função é identificar um indivíduo no interior de um grupo, de acordo com determinadas características. No presente trabalho, foram enfocadas as alcunhas étnicas (galego, polaco, alemão, entre outros) a partir de nomes de candidatos políticos (prefeitos e vereadores), nas eleições realizadas no ano de 2016 no território sul da Amazônia meridional, considerada pela dialetologia tradicional como incaracterístico (NASCENTES, 1950). O mapeamento das alcunhas teve como objetivo identificar comportamentos sociais em um espaço multilíngue. As alcunhas expressam percepções sociais originadas em movimentos de (i)migração e contato linguístico e resguardam, por vezes, funções do contexto anterior ou, conforme o espaço em que se estabelecem, sujeita a processos de relexificação de seu conteúdo semântico. ABSTRACT: Contexts of multilingualism and plurilingualism in society manifest themselves, among other forms, through the act of naming. The nickname is one of the most spontaneous manifestations of this phenomenon and is one of the interests of the Anthropomonastic (discipline affiliated with Onomastics). Its function is to identify an individual within a group according to certain characteristics. In the present work, the ethnic nicknames (Galician, Polish, German, and others) were focused on the names of political candidates (mayors and councilors) in the elections held in 2016 in the territory of southern Amazonia, considered by traditional dialects as uncharacteristic (NASCENTES, 1950). The mapping of nicknames aimed to identify social behaviors in a multilingual space. Aliases express social perceptions originated in movements of (i)migration and linguistic contact and sometimes preserve functions of the previous context or, depending on the space in which they are established, subject to processes of re-reading of their semantic content.
