Keywords: discussion presentation method, powerpoint media, learning styles, and learning outcomes, accounting theory ABSTRACT: The design of this study used a factorial experimental design (2x4), implement control class presentation method using paper media and presentation methods of implementing the experimental class discussion using powerpoint media. Sampling was done by proportional random sampling technique obtained sample was 80 students. Each class numbered 40 students study consisted of students who have learning styles abstract sequential, concrete sequential, abstract random, and concrete random. Analysis using ANOVA two lanes (Two Way ANOVA). This study aimed to determine the effect of presentation method that uses media powerpoint discussion of the study results, and the differences in learning outcomes in Accounting Theory courses when associated with student learning styles, as well as to determine the effect of the interaction between method powerpoint presentations and discussions with media learning styles of students to learning outcomes of Accounting Theory courses. From the results of hypothesis tests conducted, the results obtained indicate that there are differences in learning outcomes between students in the experimental class and the control class with sig of 0.003 and F value = 9.422> F = 3.982. There is also a difference in learning outcomes in students who have different learning styles. It can be seen from the results of data analysis that has been done shows sig value of 0.000 and F count = 8114> F = 2.739. In addition there was an interaction between media learning with student learning style on learning outcomes of students with sig value of 0.47 and F value = 2886> F = 2.739. The result is expected to be a concern for educators either lecturers or teachers in order to always pay attention to aspects of media and learning styles of the students in implementing and developing a method of learning that will be implemented, so as to help meet the needs of learners who have diverse optimally.
