Funari 2 | Andrés Alarcón-Jimenez 3 RESUMO O presente artigo tem por objetivo relacionar, mesmo que brevemente, os conceitos de arqueologia, turismo e história. Essa intenção tem por fim, último, apontar as possibilidades do turismo no Parque Nacional Serra da Capivara – PNSC/PI, localizado no sudoeste do estado brasileiro do Piauí. O parque foi identificado como patrimônio da humanidade pela UNESCO, ainda em 1991, mas ainda tem gerado pouca atração turística, segundo a ótica dos autores, se comparado a outras atrações, com a mesma alcunha da instituição no mundo. Em outras partes milhões de turistas recorrem aos monumentos e ou parques listados, gerando divisas e amplificando saberes e conhecimentos sobre a história mais antiga desses locais. Dessa forma, se valoriza e reconhece o passado de lugares, muitas vezes, esquecidos, além de permitir reflexões novas sobre os vestígios arqueológicos. Alguns que são, tão ricamente, observáveis, em especial, no PNSC, para entre seus futuros usuários. Dessa forma, introduzimos o texto com a história da ciência, temos por objetivo amplificar as reflexões sobre essa temática, tivemos como método o levantamento bibliográfico e de campo, que um dos autores realiza no parque e em sua circunferência, desde 1996. Assim, temos como resultados a apresentação de imagens que podem contribuir para os/as futuros/as turistas se interessarem por conhecer mais sobre o parque. Concluímos com a importância da permanência da existência desse parque e de outros para o incremento de saberes e conhecimentos socioculturais, pedagógicos e políticos. PALAVRAS-CHAVE Serra da Capivara, Turismo, Arqueologia. ABSTRACT This article aims to relate, even briefly, the concepts of archeology, tourism and history. This last intention is to point out the possibilities of tourism in the Serra da Capivara National Park - PNSC / PI, located in the southwest of the Brazilian state of Piauí. The park was identified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1991, but has still generated little tourist attraction, according to the authors' perspective, compared to other attractions, with the same nickname of the institution in the world. Elsewhere, millions of tourists resort to listed monuments and parks, generating foreign exchange and amplifying knowledge and knowledge about the oldest history of these places. In this way, one appreciates and recognizes the past of places, often forgotten, and allows new reflections on the archaeological remains. Some who are, so richly, observable, especially in the PNSC, among their future users. Thus, we introduced the text with the history of science, we have as an objective to amplify the reflections on this theme, we had as method the bibliographical and field survey, that one of the authors has done in the park and in its circumference since 1996. Thus, we have as results the presentation of images that can contribute to future tourists interested in knowing more about the park. We conclude with the importance of permanence of the existence of this park and of others for the increase of socio-cultural, pedagogical and political knowledge and knowledge.
