While the ďƌoadeƌ ŵeaŶiŶg ŵeaŶs dialogue, it can also mean as a learning activity. Salman Mosque is an independent campus mosque that adheres to Islamic principles. As a learning activity, Salman Mosque trainees exposed to a real world problem by housing them in community near Salman, this program is called ‘uŵah “ahaďat “alŵaŶ. As a leaƌŶiŶg aĐtiǀitLJ, ‘uŵah “ahaďat “alŵaŶ staƌts fƌoŵ mosque-related activity, such as teaching children how to read Quran. This activity that builds close relations into certain place has foster a growth in trust, and finally gave a tƌaĐtioŶ foƌ ‘uŵah “ahaďat “alŵaŶs TƌaiŶee to eŶgage iŶ ĐoŵŵuŶitLJ deǀelopŵeŶt related to actiǀitLJ of daǁah. Places can shape how learning activity and understanding something through activity. This research highlights how certain activity can be related into particular places and how places can shape particular activity; also build different performance for learning activity. INTRODUCTION Daǁah is aŶ aĐtiǀitLJ ƌelated to dissemination of knowledge in Islam, in short term learning with Islamic ways. Every institution built based on Islamic philosophLJ ǁill iŶĐlude daǁah in their main programs. This was also true for Salman, a mosque located in front of Ganesha Campus of Bandung Institute of Technology. Salman Mosque is being opeƌated uŶdeƌ ITBs juƌisdiĐtioŶ as Independent Campus Mosque. This means that Salman Mosque administration can be differed with ITB, ďut ďLJ Ŷo ŵeaŶs it ĐaŶ deǀiate fƌoŵ ITBs goals. Principle of Mosque as a place for learning has been operated since the founding of Islam. This is greatly affected architecture of mosque as a public place and place for learning. Many activities, kŶoǁŶ as daǁah, haǀe takeŶ plaĐe iŶ mosque and the mosque itself designed to suppoƌt daǁah aĐtiǀitLJ. Theƌe aƌe those ǁho peƌĐeiǀe leaƌŶiŶg as pƌeaĐh of aŶ edžpeƌt, foƌ these, ŵosƋues ofteŶ equipped with speakers and sound systems. For those who prefer active discussions and read-and-write activity, there are mosques that provide portable desks to support read-and-write activities, also portable whiteboards for easier communication during discussion sessions. Salman Mosque also being operated under Islamic values and philosophy, it iŶĐludes daǁah iŶ its Đoƌe aĐtiǀities. As
