I. Introduction In today’s generation, peers are considered as an essential part of social development. Notions about peers are to be defined as the people you are having conversations with, people who tend to develop intimate relations on a ”friendly” level. Peer is solely considered and defined as people you are having equal qualifications such as age, sex, race, or simply having the same geographic location. In most instances, peer comes with another variable: Peer pressure. Peer pressure is defined by Merriam-Webster as a feeling that one must do the same things that his/her social group accepts in order to be liked or respected by them. This phenomenon is currently underrated in most social groups, including social media, group of friends, and other social hierarchies that needs interaction as a primary basis of communication. Stress is also a primary variable that this study is eyeing. Every people living in this planet experienced stress one way or the other, there are no exemption when it comes to stress. Students from every different school surely experienced stress; whether it is school stuff or other extracurricular activities. The study to be might fill in gaps between peer pressure and its relation to stress and how the students cope in such situations. Problem Statement Peer pressure may impact stress among people in the community, particularly students, in certain ways. However, the norms perceive this variable as something unbeneficial and stressful, especially when it comes to decision making. The current situation needs to be viewed in the eyes of students since their perceptions are crucial and related to the topic. Furthermore, it concerns the mental health of an individual so, it is necessary and guaranteed to contribute to the welfare of humanity. Page 1 of 61
