NILAI-NILAI DEMOKRASI DALAM SISTEM KEPEMIMPINAN SUKU ANAK DALAM (SAD) (Studi Kasus di Dusun Simarantihan Desa Suo-Suo Kecamatan Sumay Kabupaten Tebo) Ridwan, Ali Ibrahim Universitas Muara Bungo Abstract This research was conducted in Simaminihan Village Suo-Suo Village Sumay Sub-district Tebo District for two months starting from February 1, 2015 until March 31, 2015. This study aims to determine the background of leadership of Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) in Simarantihan Village, Suo Village -Suo already know democracy, and to know the democratic values that exist in the leadership of SAD in Simaminihan village Suo-Suo village. The results of this study indicate that the background of SAD leadership in Simarantihan Hamlet is the awareness of the SAD community in Simarantihan Hamlet itself for its rights as citizens. The democratic values that exist in the SAD leadership in Simarantihan Hamlet are also good enough, as seen from the selection process of leaders based on majority vote of SAD community in Simarantihan sub- village, the participation of SAD community of Simarantihan village toward the formulation of policy or regulation, the level of freedom or independence obtained by the SAD community in Simarantihan Hamlet, the public is free to criticize the leader, and all SAD citizens in Simarantihan Hamlet are equally in the eyes of the law including the leader.
