With its very strategic geographic location, Batam is one of the domestic and foreign tourists destination to release tired with noise routine work. Batam has quite a variety of attractions. There are beaches, sea, diving, beautiful night scenery and tree house. Lack of tourist interest for the people in Batam City due to the expensive entrance fee and inadequate facilities. So the tourism sector is less desirable. People prefer to travel outside the city or abroad rather than on their own. Fuzzy logic is a science for the determination of various cases. One of them can be applied in the determination of tourist interest. By knowing the distance of the location, the facilities offered, and the entrance fee, we can determine the interest of tourism for the community. Of course with manual calculations that can be applied and equated with the calculation using Matlab. Distance and entrance fees and facilities, it has a great influence on the number of tourists. Many tourist attractions that exist outside the city and abroad offer low prices and fairly complete facilities at a very cheap price. It should also be done tourism office in the city of Batam. Therefore, the writer tries to make an analysis about the interest of tourism for people in Batam city by using fuzzy logic of Mamdani method. Keywords: Fuzzy, Mamdani Method, Tourism, Batam. 1. Pendahuluan Pariwisata erat hubungannya dengan kegiatan yang sering dilakukan oleh banyak orang yaitu jalan-jalan (travel). Industri pariwisata banyak diminati oleh orang baik itu dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Pariwisata semakin berkembang secara bertahap tahun demi tahun. Menurut Moli (2011) sektor pariwisata telah muncul sebagai salah satu industri yang terbesar di dunia. Hal sama dikemukakan oleh Akinnuwesi dan Uzoka (2009) serta Nasreen dan Thang (2011) bahwa industri pariwisata diidentifikasi sebagai salah satu sektor yang
