Ambos recurren a su función simbó- lica, como un intento de explicitar uno de los puntos más neurálgicos de la antropología cristiana en torno a la comprensión del mal y del pecado de origen. Para ello recurren a la revisión filosófica del mito, cuyo énfasis –según el mismo Paul Ricœur– no está puesto en su reducción, sino en valorar su fuerza latente. Así los autores abren la posibilidad de una palabra, que renuncia a comenzar con una verdad puesta por ella misma, apuntando a la comprensión del hombre y de su propio yo. This article reflects the thinking of both authors: the philosopher Paul Ricœur and Rabbi Nilton Bonder towards the subject of “myth of the fall.” They turn to their sym- bolic function, as an attempt to explain one of the most nerve-Christian anthropology around understanding of evil and original sin. This resort to the Philosophical Review of the myth, whose emphasis, according to Paul Ricœur, it is not on its reduction, but in assessing its latent strength. Thus the authors raise the possibility of a word, that waiver will start with a truth for herself, pointing to the understanding of man and of his own himself.
