Response surface methodology of Box- Behnken was utilized to model the effects of various variables such as applied load, rotational speed and material types on the weight loss under dry sliding conditions. The second order mathematical regression model was developed. Moreover, ANOVA indicated that the load was higher significant than the others at 95% confidence level. The percentage contributions of the linear were about 82 % (load (39.41%, speed 25.22%, and materials type 17.13%)), but square effect and two-way
