[Type here] CHALLENGES AND THREATS POSED BY CONTEMPORARY THEOLOGIES IN MODERN CHRISTIANITY ABSTRACT Since Christian theology never takes place in a vacuum, it finds itself always affected and shaken by the dynamics of culture, struggles of people, successes and failures. Within the Christian theology, there has emerged contemporary theologies that can be said to address contemporary issues and gaps within the society. With their emergence, these theologies leads to unpredicted Challenges and threats to orthodox Christianity. Some of the few contemporary theologies in brief include: Liberation, Feminism, Neo-Liberalism, Theology of Success/ Prosperity Gospel, Neo- Orthodoxy, Liberal theologies.
