Appreciative work has been done in literature to solve network reconfiguration problem in distribution networks. In literature, generally fixed algorithm population sizes and iterations are used for network reconfiguration problems. In this paper a meta-heuristic algorithm which is called Dragonfly algorithm is used with varying population sizes and varying iterations to the distribution network problem. The population in Dragonfly algorithm is termed as search agents and iterations are as iterations itself. The results of the proposed algorithm is compared with the literature such as standard genetic algorithm (SGA) and genetic algorithm varying population size(GAVAP).
