Studi interculturali e relazioni internazionali. alberto.saroldi@tin.it; luigivallebona@yahoo.com UN ENCUENTRO ENTRE CULTURAS EN LA PAMPA GRINGA Resumen El estudio se centra en el encuentro entre culturas que se produjo en el espacio geográfico de la pampa a través de la experiencia de los vidrieros de Altare que emigraron a la provincia de Santa Fe en 1947, y la compara con la experiencia análoga narrada 60 años antes por el escritor italiano Edmundo De Amicis en el libro In America. La metodología utilizada se basa en los principios de la educación intercultural y en el estudio antropológico de las culturas en contacto. El paisaje de la pampa, con su extensión infinita, es el escenario del encuentro entre las culturas vivido por los migrantes italianos en diferentes períodos históricos y se refleja en los relatos de los escritores y de los mismos migrantes. Los resultados del estudio encuentran similitudes significativas entre las narraciones de De Amicis y las de los vidrieros de Altare en las diferentes etapas del proceso de migración, es decir la separación de la patria, la percepción de las pampas, la dialéctica entre identidad y alteridad, entre desarraigo y nuevas raíces. AN ENCOUNTER AMONGST CULTURES IN THE PAMPA GRINGA Abstract The study focuses on the encounter amongst cultures which took place in the geographical area of the Pampas through the experience of the glassworkers of Altare who emigrated to the Province of Santa Fe in 1947, compared with the similar experience told 60 year before by the Italian writer Edmondo De Amicis in the book In America. The methodology used is based on the principles of intercultural education and the anthropological study of cultures in contact with each other. The Pampas landscape, of infinite extent, is the encounter scene of the cultures as experienced by Italian emigrants in different historical periods and as reflected in the stories of the writers or of the migrants themselves. The results of the study consists in finding significant similarities between the stories of De Amicis and the glassworkers of Altare during the different stages of the emigration process that is the separation from the homeland, the perception of the Pampas, the dialectics between identity and differences, between old and new roots.
