Resumo O presente artigo objetiva o estudo da representação da figura feminina no romance “Voltar a Palermo”, da autora pernambucana Luzilá Gonçalves Ferreira. Trata-se de uma investigação que revela a representação da personagem feminina no texto de ficção, analisando a obra sob o ponto de vista dos elementos técnicos e estruturadores da narrativa, debruçando-se sobre a construção da personagem. Além disso, os resultados deverão trazer subsídios para o entendimento do imaginário feminino brasileiro na literatura, já que notavelmente a representação feminina é pouco estudada dentro dos romances nacionais, dificilmente tendo papéis principais ou representativo-diferenciais nas tramas de maior destaque, sendo esses destinados geralmente aos personagens masculinos. Abstract This article aims to study the representation of the female figure in the novel "Voltar a Palermo", from the brazilian author Luzilá Gonçalves Ferreira. This is an investigation that reveals the representation of the female character in the text of fiction, analyzing the work from the point of view of the technical and structuring elements of the narrative, regarding the building of the character. Moreover, the results should provide subsidies for the understanding of the female imagery within the Brazilian literature, as notably the female representation is few studied within the national novels, hardly taking main or representative-differential roles in the most prominent frames, as these ones are usually intended to male characters.
