CHAPTER FOUR DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS 4.1 Introduction Inventory management and the performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria was investigated descriptively in this chapter. Data collected through questionnaire, form the basis of presentation and interpretation. One hundred and twenty (120) questionnaires were drawn and administered to respondents in some selected manufacturing firms. Only one hundred were recovered. For clarity and logical presentation purposes, the analysis was organized around the respective research questions, hypothesis and objective of the study alongside with a well- articulated discussion of findings. From the table above, it can be deduced that 120 questionnaires were distributed among the manufacturing firms sampled. Out of these questionnaires, 100 (83.3%) were returned and the remaining 20 (16.7%) questionnaire were not administered.
