The Results of the Body Crosses with Inscriptions from Late Medieval Burials in Pskov and Izborsk Element Composition Study Abstract. The suspensions alloy composition special studies contribute to the expan- sion of scientifc knowledge about the corpus of body crosses with the image of Calvary and inscriptions. The article presents results of determination and analysis of the 79 items from the archaeological funds of the Pskov Museum Reserve, selected on the basis of typological features from the whole amount of fndings. The non-destructive method of x-ray fuorescence analysis (XRF) was used for the objects element composition determi- nation. The measurements were carried out on the MIPT equipment. The research revealed 10 diferent alloys, with two of them: lead-tin and lead brass pre- vailing. Even a relatively small amount of measurements demonstrates that the nomencla- ture of the alloys formulae of the 15–18th centuries is quite diferent from the results of the early metallurgy study. Further accumulation of the data for the later alloys is obvious.
