Blitzkrieg on the 21th century Artur Victoria With the end of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics we entered the 1990s, in a context of transformation of the world political order, in what some theorists call the post-Cold War period, although this term raises some controversies; Here we analyze the changes in the way in which wars are carried out according to the conceptions of the new military geography. In 1999 Kosovo crisis, the 1990s, marked a new way of leading the international conflicts that became known as military interventions for humanitarian purposes, such as the Gulf War in the early 1990s, to liberate the people of Kuwait from the judgment of the tyranny of the Iraqi government which inflicted international with diplomatic agreements leaving for an invasion in the neighbouring country. Another example of an intervention was the crisis in Kosovo in the late 1990s when NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the use of force would be necessary for humanitarian purposes and thus liberate the Albanians of Kosovo from the judgment of the Milosevic. The conflict in Kosovo is the most important case in the recent history of humanitarian military interventions, corresponding to the greater alliance and use of forces in NATO history, including the continuing importance of trans-Atlantic relations in the region. This Alliance embraced the armed forces of Germany, France, and United Kingdom under the leadership of the United States. This new model logically involves three ways of thinking about international politics identified by the British school: Realism, Rationalism and Revolutionist - three aspects of these interventions. Applying this model in the case of Kosovo Intervention, it is possible to observe in this action the following concepts: international anarchy (realism), cooperation and association (rationalism), and moral solidarity (revolutionist). The decisions were based on this perspective, which, to a certain extent, justified the obligation to use military force. It is ironic that the use of violence because of a humanitarian cause and human rights and complexity because of the tension between institutions of international law, political powers, and the hope of the moral good of several leaders complete the question. It is a classic military operation different from the war, typical of the interventions of the 1990s. The context of this episode must go back to the period between October 1998 and May 1999, when NATO nations were divided about the possible military intervention in Kosovo.
