No entanto não há informações sobre o pioneirismo deste meio no cenário local. Desse modo, o presente artigo busca resgatar os primeiros passos do Jornalismo nas Tv´s que já existiram e/ou existem no munícipio. Para tanto foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica e entrevistas com profissionais que trabalharam no meio televisivo. Ao analisar os depoimentos colhidos e os acervos dos comunicadores entrevistados, percebe-se que a trajetória do telejornalismo na cidade é marcada pelo domínio de representantes políticos e a forte tendência sensacionalista de alguns noticiários. Palavras-chave: Resgate. História. Amarante. Televisão. Maranhão. Abstract The Journalistic practice in Amarante, located in the southwest of Maranhão, had its beginning on television stations. However there is no information about the pioneers of this medium in the local scene. Thus, this article seeks to rescue the first steps of Journalism in TV's that have existed and / or exist in the municipality. Therefore a literature review and interviews with professionals who have worked in the television medium was performed. By analyzing the testimonies collected and collections of respondents communicators, it realize-se that the trajectory of television news in the city is marked by the dominance of political representatives and the strong sensationalist tendency of some news.
