Shevchenka, 14, Kyiv, 01033, Ukraine PAVLO MOVCHAN’S POETICS OF NEOLOGISMS The linguistic analysis of the most common author’s neologisms in the poetry by P. Movchan is implemented in the article; their semantic meanings, word-formation peculiarities and stylistic role have been characterized. Special attention is paid to productive word- formation processes of creating nonce words in the writer’s derivation system. It is revealed that the most common nouns form groups of words with the semantics of collectivity, singularity, deminutiveness, augmentation, of the effect of the performed action, of the specified action, state or feature. P. Movchan uses neologisms-verbs for a poetic image of the acquisition certain attributes by some objects and for the transfer of the character of the procedural features of the phenomena of reality. The specificity of the author's neologisms-nouns is manifested by the creation of an individual conceptual picture of the world of the lyrical person, which expressed by the images- concepts "good-evil", "eternity-temporality." The poet uses neologisms-verbs for enhance the expression of these images, for underscore the dynamism and for visualize the processes of the environment.
