In determining the best graduates with competency criteria is very difficult because there must be clear criteria and subcriteria and definite weight in the ranking process to determine the best graduates. For that needed a method in decision making, method applied is method Analytical Hierarcy Process (AHP). The AHP method is a method in which each criterion (assessment factors) and the alternatives (student) will be compared with other students in order to provide an output of priority intensity values resulting in a system that provides an assessment of each student. The results of these studies will be used as a reference in making decisions in determining the best graduate students. Keywords—Decision Support Systems, Best Student, AHP Method. I. The authors [1], [2], [3] and [6] used the best student selection case study as the object to obtain rankings on decision making wherein the author [1] the method used was AHP and Promethee, [3] and [6] only use AHP method only in decision making. In addition the researchers [4] and [5] took the best employee selection case study as the object and method used were the Analytical Hierarcy Process (AHP) method. However, the criteria used for decision making on the best student election in the study is only a measure of academic ability alone. So also with the selection of the best employees, the criteria used only criteria that are general. While the authors [7] and [8] show that there is an influence of competence to see the quality of a person. In conducting the selection of the best graduate students usually only see from the academic and non academic assessment only. For the academic field such as see the grade point average (GPA) of students while in the field of non- academic view of achievements obtained by students and activeness in organizing during lectures and good communication skills of students. To support the selection, it is necessary decision support system to determine the decision taken. Decision Support Systems (SPK) are part of computer- based Information Systems, including knowledge-based systems (knowledge management) used to support decision making within an organization or a company. [3] The process of selecting the best students is a problem that will involve several criteria and sub criteria so that to solve the problem required a system in making decisions with the multicriteria. One method used to solve problems with multicriteria is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This method is effective enough to simplify and speed up the decision-making process by solving the problem into sub- sections. [2]. By using this method the authors apply the AHP method in the selection of the best student graduates to the college level which is expected to later be able to assist decision makers in a university in deciding the best alternatives in the selection of the best graduate students. Based on the above, the writer conducts a research on the selection of the best student graduates who are not only assessed based on the knowledge or academic criteria but the best student graduates can be done based on their competence with the following criteria: 1) Knowledge, 2) Skill and 3) Attitude. If this criterion is applied in every university, the university will produce graduates who will be able to compete in the world of work. The method chosen in this research is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This research is composed of: 1) Introduction, 2) Related Research, 3) Research Method, 4) Results and Discussion, 5) Conclusion and Further Research.
