Madhavi Professor, Department of Business Administration, Annamalai University, India ABSTRACT E-learning platforms are become common world over. These facilitate „virtual classrooms‟ where teachers and instructors can share learning materials and conduct tests. Collaborative and peer learning is also possible through these platforms as ease of communication is ensured. The use of such platforms has become routine as these are built as a part of the curriculum. While in the past student performance evaluation and assessment was limited to test results and attendance, the advent of e-learning has facilitated the collection of class analytics that throw light on student engagement on such platforms yielding information like student visits, lesson downloads, reference patterns, fulfillment of tasks, grading etc. The more the use of such digitized platforms the more the information on student online behavior can be gathered. This study comprises of the study of learning outcomes and effectiveness of supplemental learning material offered through e-learning platform “Haiku” to students of business administration. The measure of students‟ performance in the internal and the end semester examinations are considered for the study along with the usage analytics. The usage analytics and evaluation outcomes throw light on the adoption patterns of the online support.
