This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and procedures of accounng. Students will develop financial analysis and decision-making skills that will assist them in future studies and/or career opportunies in business. Students will acquire an understanding of accounng for a service and a merchandising business, computerized accounng, financial analysis, and ethics and current issues in accounng. Learning Goals The BAF3M Culminang project aims to encompass all elements of the course work. By the end of the summave the students should be able to:  demonstrate an understanding of the basic procedures and principles of the accounng cycle for a service business.  demonstrate an understanding of the procedures and principles of the accounng cycle for a merchandising business;  demonstrate an understanding of the accounng pracces for sales tax;  evaluate the financial status of a business by analyzing performance measures and financial statements;  assess the role of ethics in, and the impact of current issues on, the pracce of accounng;  assess the impact of technology on the accounng funcons in business; TASK The porolio is the final course project that is worth 15% FINAL GRADE . The porolio will include content from the enre course. Progress checks will be made throughout the porolio.
