ÇOCUKLARIN HAYALLERİNDEKİ OKUL Öğretmen, Derya AKTÜRK ÇOPUR Düzce Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi (Yüksek Lisans Öğrencisi) windyteacher@gmail.com Özet Araştırmanın temel amacı, çocukların nasıl bir okul hayal ettiklerini, tanımladıklarını ortaya çıkarmak, çocukların okudukları okulu daha etkili bir düzeye çıkarılabilmektir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yönteminin seçilmesinin nedeni, “çocukların hayalindeki okul” algılarının belirlenmesi üzerine odaklanılarak incelenmek istenmesidir. Bu çalışma 9-10 yaş grubunu kapsayan toplam 170 öğrenci ile .... İlkokulunda yapılmıştır. Bu yaş grubunu içine alan 3. ve 4. Sınıflar ile sınırlı olmasının nedeni, bu süreçteki öğrencilerin henüz sınavlardan oluşan akademik başarı yarışına girmemiş olmaları ve böylece “başarılı olmak” dışında kalan diğer hayallerinin de gölgelenmiş olmamasıdır. Araştırmada “Hayalinizdeki okul nasıl olmalıdır?” sorusuna yönelik kompozisyon tekniği ile toplanan veriler, içerik analizi yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan çocukların eğitim sistemi içerisindeki isteklerine genel olarak bakıldığında aslında talep edilenlerin, yapılması zor şeyler olmadığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada öğrenciler bu alanlarda eksikliğini hissettikleri kendilerine ait sanatsal ve spor gelişim alanları, oyun alanları ve sinema salonları gibi talepleri dile getirmişlerdir. Anahtar Kelimeler: Hayal gücü, etkili okul, nitel araştırma, IMAGINABLE SCHOOL PERCEPTION OF STUDENTS Abstract The main purpose of this study is to determine how children identify the school in their imagination. According to the degree of their developments, it is provided to let them discover their own imagination and support them being closely involved within the decisions about their school in order to raise the level of the schools’ effectiveness. This research is done with the method of quantitive study. The reason why quantitive research is choosen is to analyse the content and cognitive perception of the students’ dreams. This resarch was done at ... Primary School during the first semester of 2016-2017 education year with 170 students. Students from 3th and 4th classes are choosen because of the reason they still have not entered the competitions for academical success, full with exams, so that other dreams out of being successful are not under shadow. The data which is collected according to the question: “How is the school in your imagination?” is obtained with the composition technique and assessed via content analysis. An overview to the children’s answers shows us that the required items are not difficult to achieve. The data obtained from this study allows us to reach the following conclusion; schools have to be organised in such a way that they can contribute to children’s cognitive, affective, physical and personal progress. Students mentioned about these deficiency through fields for themselves to improve these progress period with cinema salons, game centers, art and music workshops demanded. .
