THE EFFECT A CSR PROGRAM ON CORPORATE IMAGE AND THE IMPACT ON THE EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT By Marissa Fitriana Agustina, marissagustina@gmail.com Jerry Marcellinus Logahan, jerryml@ibmasmi.ac.id Abstract The purpose of this research is to analyzing the implementation of Jakarta Race as CSR Program and to investigate its effect on corporate image that will impact to employee engagement Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. Method of this research is by using quantitative method and giving questionnaire to one hundred employees at Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. Analysis techniques that writer uses are correlation and path analysis to know the relationship and the impact in the topic. The study confirms the significant influence between CSR program on corporate image, corporate image on employee engagement and the influence of CSR program on employee engagement is bigger than CSR program to employee engagement with using corporate image as intervening variable. Keywords: CSR, Corporate Image, Employee Engagement Background In principle, the company is built and established with commercial objectives or to make the maximum profit. The efforts carried out include the production activities to produce goods and offer activities in the form of services. But since the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility was put forward in 1924 by Sheldon, CSR has become one of the business interests, social environment and government throughout the world. The community has become increasingly critical and able to exercise social control over the business world. This requires business people to run their business more responsibly. CSR is increasingly strengthened in the Mother Earth especially after being expressly stated in the Law on Limited Liability Companies, Law No. PT. 40 of 2007 which was passed by the House of Representatives. It is stated that PT which runs a business in the field and / or is concerned with natural resources must carry out social and environmental responsibilities (Article 74 paragraph 1). Another regulation that touches CSR is Law No. 25 of 2007 concerning Investment. Article 15 (b) states that "every investor is obliged to carry out corporate social responsibility." In the current business era, CSR is starting to be associated with employee engagement.
