Research Feasibility Study on Offering of Bachelor of Science in Clinical Pharmacy at Angeles University Foundation (Ladderized Degree on BS Pharmacy) Johana S. Vallo 1 , Roselle S. Tungol 1 1 Faculty of Angeles University Foundation Department of Pharmacy * Correspondence: johanasimpao@gmail.com Abstract The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Pharmacy is a ladderized program that aimed to hasten the clinical aspects of pharmacists. This study aimed to determine the (1) respondents’ profile, (2) the market demand for clinical pharmacists, (3) the feasibility in offering the Bachelor of Science in Clinical Pharmacy in Angeles University Foundation, and (4) strength and weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). The study used descriptive survey method and random sampling and the respondents are the graduating students of BS Pharmacy of AUF, registered pharmacists in the region either alumni or non- alumni of Angeles University Foundation. Statistical tools used are frequency count and percentage technique. Most of the respondents are 76.9% female, 88.3% are between 20 to 30 years old, 94.9% are single and majority live within the region. Among the 117 respondents, 64.1% have intention of pursuing B.S Clinical Pharmacy, around 83% said that they will enroll and 83.3% will pursue the course in Angeles University Foundation. Angeles University Foundation can offer BS Clinical Pharmacy since it is one of the best schools that is known to offer medical programs and based on the SWOT analysis, its strength includes state of the art facilities and equipment, qualified faculty that are graduate of Doctor of Pharmacy, that can teach the said program and partner affiliation centers that pioneered clinical pharmacy practice in the region. The opportunities include the increasing demand for clinical pharmacists needed not only in the region but globally. The possibility of becoming the first university to offer the said course in Luzon outside Metro Manila is also an advantage. To conclude, offering of BS Clinical Pharmacy in Angeles University this AY 2019-2020 is feasible since the external and internal aspects are favorable.
