The number of restaurants makes many consumers confused to choose the best restaurant. this study explains how to determine the best restaurant. Many aspects must be in value to determine the best restaurant based on consumer ratings. in this study the criteria assessed were food, place, price and service. The criteria assessment process is based on interviews to consumers who have visited the restaurant. The value given by the consumer is then calculated using the manual process and then compared with the AHP method. AHP (Analityc Hierarchy Process) is one of the methods of decision making. AHP is a practical method for solving complex problems. In this study, the author has managed to get the best restaurant results. However, research criteria and methods can be developed for further study. Keywords—Decision Suppport System, AHP, Restaurant I. INTRODUCTION Medan is one of the third largest cities in Indonesia and also the capital of North Sumatra. The city of Medan is famous as one of the culinary attractions in Indonesia. Various tribes and cultures exist in the city of Medan such as Batak, Malay, Aceh, Padang and Java[1-4]. Likewise, many Chinese and Indian descendants live in Indonesia. The rapid development of the city of Medan is also followed by the development of famous restaurants by relying on taste in accordance with ethnic and ethnic groups. With so many restaurants in Medan, people are confused to choose the best restaurant. There are many aspects that need to be assessed to determine which restaurant is best[5-8]. Among them[9] are aspects of extraction, categorization aspect, aspect of classification of Opinion Sentiment. In this paper is assessed is the aspect of the category of food, category of place, category of price and category of service. One method for decision-making is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)[10]. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a practical and effective method used to solve multiple decision-making problems of Multi Criteria [11-13]. Where the complicated problem is split into several simple levels, which must be solved one by one, and ultimately the hierarchy returns are organized into one unit. From the above problem a decision system is needed that can assess the best restaurant based on many aspects. Determination process using AHP method in decision making process. Using the AHP method can effectively weight the obeective function at a critical level [14]. From there it is expected that the decisions taken can be very precise. This article is elaborated into several points. the second point, describes a brief literature review relating to the article. point three explains the research method used, and interviews some customers who have visited the best restaurant in the city. This article presents the results obtained and the discussion section on the fourth point. Finally, the researchers close the paper with a description of the conclusion on the last point . II. RELATED WORK There are at least 4 steps to assess the best restaurant [9] namely the aspects of extraction, aspects of the category, the aspect of clasification sentiment and the aspect of opinion and rating. In this paper taken is the only aspect categories that is food, places, prices and services. In [15]the authors do research on the best restaurant recommendations based on zomato rating and provide its location. the author makes an app to display the location and rating of the restaurant. The defined categories are food, service and user comfort. In [16] the author uses the AHP method for teaching and learning in a way presented. It can be concluded that AHP is a tool that can be used to assist academics [17] in evaluating and determining the right teaching and learning tools. As a result the AHP method shows an effective way of teaching and learning process that fits the needs of the students. In [18] the author uses the AHP method to determine teacher placement. The AHP method can solve problems by determining alternatives and hierarchical development. this research makes the application using operational database of education service which contains about school data, teacher and teacher teaching experience. then with the AHP method, the user can fill in the criteria and make judgments for each criterion to get the results of each candidate based on his rank.
