PERKEMBANGAN EMOSI PADA ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR Erna Labudasari, M.Pd 1 Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon Ernalabuda22@gmail.com Wafa Sriastria, S.Pd 2 SDN Kanggraksan Kota Cirebon ABSTRAK Pendidikan di sekolah dasar merupakan pengaruh yang sangat penting bagi tahapan perkembangan selama masa pertengahan dan akhir anak-anak. Keberhasilan belajar anak dapat ditentukan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya yaitu faktor perkembangan emosi. Guru sebagai orang tua di sekolah harus mampu memahami perkembangan emosi pada anak. Namun, kepadatan jumlah anak dalam satu kelas dapat menyulitkan guru untuk menangani emosi pada setiap anak. Kesulitan ini dapat disebabkan karena guru belum mengerti tahap-tahap perkembangan anak sehingga lebih banyak menyalahkan pribadi anak tersebut. Banyak guru tidak memahami bentuk emosi anak yang berbeda-beda sehingga guru merasa bingung dalam mencari cara menangani dan cenderung menyamakan penanganannya. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, guru diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai perkembangan emosi anak agar tidak ada salah penanganan yang dapat mempengaruhi dimensi perkembangan lainnya dan mengakibatkan menurunnya prestasi belajar anak di sekolah. Dengan memperhatikan dan memahami emosi anak, dapat membantu guru mempercepat proses pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan permanen. Kata Kunci: Perkembangan Emosi, Sekolah Dasar ABSTRACT EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS Education in the elementary schools is an essential step which affects the development of the elementary students during middle and last period. Students’ achievement can be decided by some factors, one of them is emotional development. Full of numbers of students in one classroom, however, could make teachers difficult to handle the emotion for each students. This case may be caused the teachers have not understood the steps of the students development so they prefer to blame on the students themselves. Some of the teachers do not understand about kinds of the student emotions which are different so the teachers are confused to find the way to solve it and they prefer handling various students in the same way. Based on the case, the teachers are expected they could enhance their ideas and knowledge regarding with the student emotions in other to there will not be a wrong way which can influence another dimension development and cause to reduce the students’ achievement at school. Through noticing and understanding the student emotions, can assist the teachers to fasten the learning process effectively and permanently. Keywords: Emotional Development, Elementary School
