Taylan MARAL * UNUTULAN TARİH: HADIMKÖY FORGOTTEN HISTORY: HADIMKOY ÖZ Hadımköy, tarihi ve kültürel yapısıyla oldukça önemli bir bölgedir. Balkan savaşı sırasındaki cephe görevini yerine getirerek savaşta kazanılan başarıda önemli pay sahibidir. Günümüzde ise ekonomiye olan katkısı sadece İstanbul’un değil Türkiye’nin önemli ölçüde yıldızı olma durumundadır. Bir taraftan iş gücüne dolayısıyla işsizliğe karşı olan katkısı, diğer taraftan burada çalışan işçilerin yerleşim alanı olarak burayı tercih etmeleri bölgenin nüfusunu da sanayisini de günden güne arttırmaktadır. TOKİ ve KİPTAŞ gibi devlet eliyle yapılan konutların yanı sıra özel siteler ve bireysel yapılarda artış göstermektedir. Tüm bu nüfus artışına rağmen toplu konut veya yüksek katlı binalarda yaşamayan farklı kültürlerin de bölgede aynı düzen ve huzurla ikamet ettikleri de burada gözlemlenmektedir. Çatalca ilçesine bağlı belde belediyeyken 2009 yerel seçimleri öncesi ilçe olan Arnavutköy’e mahalle olarak bağlanan, ancak içerdiği nüfus ve ekonomik güç ile ilçe olmayı hak eden Hadımköy’ün geleceği, ekonomi çevrelerince de yatırım yönünden parlak görünmektedir. Hadımköy ile neredeyse özdeşleşen yel değirmenleri ve Anıt Tanklar bölgesinin simgesini oluşturmaktadır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Hadımköy, Semt, Tarih, Kültür. ABSTRACT Hadimkoy, historical and cultural structure is a very important area. Balkan war fulfilling the task of the frontline during the war earned success is significant shareholder.
