Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie AMOR E CONHECIMENTO: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A FUNÇÃO DE EROS NA ONTOEPISTEMOLOGIA PLATÔNICA André Luiz da Paz e Silva (IC) e Jorge Luís Rodriguez Gutiérrez (Orientador) PIBIC Mackenzie RESUMO: Esse artigo leva a efeito uma explicitação da função de Eros, no seio da ontoepistemologia platônica do platonismo clássico, como um elemento metafísico intermediário que possibilita uma articulação entre Ser e Saber. Com ênfase na fala de Sócrates-Diotima no Banquete, o texto estabelece uma confluência entre Eros e as principais teorias ontoepistemológicas dos diálogos Fédon, Fedro e República, buscando demonstrar a existência de um hiato metafísico entre Ser e Saber. Respeitando as necessidades estruturais e metodológicas do texto platônico, o presente artigo, por um lado, apresenta, em primeiro lugar, um esboço das principais teorias ontoepistemológicas do platonismo clássico e, por outro lado, demonstra, em um segundo momento, a construção de Eros como uma teoria metafísica na estrutura do Banquete, ao analisar cada uma e todas as falas que constituem os momentos internos de desenvolvimento da função de Eros até o ponto da compreensão de sua essência. A análise da fala de Sócrates-Diotima e sua ligação com a ontoepistemologia do platonismo clássico possibilita a compreensão da função de Eros na ontoepistemologia platônica. ABSTRACT: This paper develops an explanation of the function of Eros, within Plato’s ontoepistemology in the Middle Dialogs, as an intermediary metaphysical element that enables a link between Being and Knowing. Focusing on Socrates-Diotima’s speech on Symposium, this paper establishes a confluence between Eros and the main ontoepistemological theories of the dialogs Phaedo, Phaedrus and Republic. While taking into account the structural and methodological needs of the platonic text, this paper, on one hand, first outlines the main ontoepistemological theories of the Middle Dialogues and, on the other hand, secondly presents the making of Eros as a metaphysical theory within the structure of the dialog, analyzing each and all of the speeches that builds the internal moments of the development of the function of Eros up to the point of the comprehension of its essence. The analysis of the speech of Socrates-Diotima and its link with the ontoepistemology of the Middle Dialogues allows the comprehension of the function of Eros in Plato’s ontoepistemology.
