The result of the study showed that the polyherbal formulations displayed gastroprotective activity as demonstrated by significant (P< 0.05) inhibition of the formation of ulcers induced through the three different ulcer models. Furthermore, it was observed that among the polyherbal formulations, EXR-HF 4 exhibited the highest potency against ulcer. It was concluded that EXR-HF 4 can be used as an alternative to the orthodox anti- ulcer drugs or as an add-on therapy. Keywords: polyherbal formulations, aqueous extracts, ulcer models, EXR-HF .
