Rakesh Kumar Assistant Professor MV COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, University of Delhi. Abstract While adults are constantly forcing the child to conform to their views about the physical and natural world, they do not wait for adults to support them in coming up with solutions to the problems they face. They just put their best efforts to understand it. On the other hand, these are not the conceptions that scientific community agree to take as acceptable ones. Contemporary understanding on designing teaching-learning processes in science has to take care of these OTHER CONCEPTIONS. We are aware that the Alternative Frameworks are formed in both formal and informal settings which have an inherent continuity from each other often neglected in designing classroom experiences for the learners. This generates the need to understand science learning contexts in an integrated form from multiple dimensions. In the present study the science learning context had been explored while the topic/area of explorations was ‘Blood’. The study reveals that the learners were interested in the class and wanted to know something more about the topic; mainly asked the following question (1) How heart works?(2) What is the function of RBC ?(3)What is the function of WBC? (4) What is the function of platelets; most of the learners wanted to know about the formation of soil even when it was not the topic undertaken at present; most of the learners were planning to ask their questions regarding the topic to the teacher; learners showed so much of interest in performing an activity which was conducted. It is also revealed that learners also learn from their own discussions of what they know with themselves and with the teacher. One of the participant teacher’s opinion is that every learner did not share their experiences and observations with others, whether it happened in the class or after the class; only some learners shared their experiences with their friends and families; Learners also learn from their experiences and observations they made in the past and are making other learners learn from what they have experienced; This also helps the teacher to connect their previous experiences; learners have their own goals whether momentary or long lasting.
