The study is part of a wider investigation into social and technical aspects of ML in Egypt. The study investigates: What are the Egyptian cultural aspects that affect the adoption of mobile learning? What is the correlation between the main technology adoption criteria and the likely use of ML? A structured questionnaire was devised, data was collected, analysed, and some correlations were calculated. Greet Hofstede’s cultural dimensions were mapped against the questionnaire’s output in order to be able to make recommendations on how to address the mobile learning users' needs. This would improve their usage experience and promote mobile learning services in Egypt. Keyword: User experience, M-learning, E-learning, users needs, culture, perception, technology adoption 1.
