Developing tools for designing visually based impact measurement programs into social innovation and entrepreneurship projects at start up Selena Joy GRIFFITH, Bianca OLIVEIRA University of New South Wales, Australia Social entrepreneurship is a growing and multidisciplinary area. Different models for it have been developed based on human centred design practices, social sciences and business tools. There is no recipe for the perfect enterprise, that is an impractical goal because of the various issues and different scenarios that can be addressed. However, what can be done to help new social entrepreneurs is to develop a system to assist them embed impact measurement into their start-up design helping them record and share their results with stakeholders, as well as analyse and learn from successful experiences. Making each enterprise's best practices, tools and failures available to others allows the creation of a social entrepreneurship network in which community based learning is possible. This paper looks at the early stages of research into the design of a human centred visual analytical system to collect, share and compare the methods of social enterprises and their accomplishments according to each sphere of social issues they address. Such a system could not only help social entrepreneurs to reach their goals faster, and visualise the points in the process that can be improved, but it also helps researchers to develop improved and more efficient assessment methods.
