RANDOLPH —Introduction Getting English language learners (ELLs) to write, let alone write well, and feel comfortable and confident in the process is no easy task. Teaching writing and getting students to enjoy it is perhaps one of the most challenging and complex realities of the English language teacher’s world. And yet, there is a parallel charm and beauty about it. Teaching the art of writing can help transform students’ internal and external perceptions of their lives, and, if done effectively, can help make our world a better place.
