Turismo y Sociedad, vol. xxvi, enero-junio 2020, pp. 111-125 Resumen El presente artículo tiene como objetivo realizar un diagnóstico del sector turístico del municipio de Pamplona (Colombia) con la fnalidad de identifcar la posibilidad de la implementación de un clúster turístico en la región. Se llevó a cabo un análisis de los conceptos teóricos alrededor del turismo y del clúster, así como un estudio cuya ruta metodológica se apoyó en el empleo de encuestas y fuentes secundarias. Los resul- tados indican la existencia de atractivos turísticos, una amplia red de infraestructura, instituciones de apoyo, baja inversión, falta de cooperación y mano de obra poco calif- cada. Se resalta la necesidad de consolidar el clúster turístico del municipio bajo una estructura organizativa coherente, con el fn de reducir los obstáculos y estimular la participación de los actores. Abstract The purpose of this document was to diagnose the tourism sector of the Municipality of Pam- plona, Colombia, with the aim of identifying the possibility of implementing a tourism cluster in the region. A brief analysis of the different theoretical theories on tourism and clusters as well as a model in which the dif- ferent elements that intervene in the tourism of the municipality were presented. Results indicated that the region offers different tour- ist attractions, a broad tourist infrastructure network, small number of local support insti- tutions, low investment, reduced cooperation and a workforce with low qualifications. Therefore, there is a need to consolidate the tourist cluster of the Municipality of Pam- plona under a coherent organizational struc- ture, which will reduce the obstacles and stim- ulate the participation of the actors involved.
