Özet:İnsanlık tarihinin her dönem ve kültürleri tarafından kullanılan moti�lerin- den biri olan hayat ağacı, mitolojide kimi zaman ölümü, kimi zaman yaşamı, kimi zaman evreni betimlemek için kullanılmıştır. Mitolojide hayat ağacı evrenin üç katını birleştirir, ölümü simgeleyen kökleri yeraltında, yaşamı simgeleyen gövdesi yeryüzünde, ölümden sonraki dünyaya yönelişi simgeleyen yaprakları ile gökyüzündedir. Birçok toplumun ortak paydası olan ağaç moti�i, Anadolu Selçuklu Dönemi mimari- si taş işlemeciliğinde kimi yerde tek başına, kimi yerde güneş, aslan, nar, çift başlı kartal, rumi deseni, efsanevi ve mitolojik �igürlerden siren ve ejder ile birlikte kullanılmıştır. Anadolu Selçuklu Döneminden günümüze kadar gelen birçok mimaride özellikle taç kapının her iki tarafına simetrik olarak uygulanan hayat ağacı moti�leri tarihi ve sanatsal değer taşımaktadır. Tree Of Life In Stone Proccessing Anatolıan Seljuk Perıod Abstract: The tree of life, which is one of the motifs used by every period and culture of human history, was used in mythology to describe death, sometimes life and sometimes the universe. In mythology, the tree of life unites three times the universe, with its roots symbolizing death in the underground, the body symbolizing life in the sky with its leaves on the earth, symbolizing the orientation to the world after death. The tree motif, which is the common denominator of many societies, has been used in the Anatolian Seljuk Period architecture alone, in some places alone, in some places sun, lion, pomegranate, double-headed eagle, rumi pattern, mythical and mythological �igures, siren and dragon. In many architectures from the Anatolian Seljuk Period to the present day, the tree of life motifs which are applied symmetrically on both sides of the crown door have historical and artistic value.
