When visiting tourists increased becakpun also increased because this job gives land advantage for pedak-peddler rickshaw out of town. Author wants to know how the pedicap as the preparation of traditional transportation for the tourist in maliboro? The research location is located in the area (Kraton, bringharjo, monument Yogyakarta) along Maliboro Street, Yogyakarta and used in this research is descriptive research qualitative approach that can explain and describe thoroughly pedicap a traditional transportation for tourists in Malioboro. In this study the data used by researchers is primary and secondary data obtained through various ways from informants that have been determined. Data analysis technique used is SWOT. The informants obtained from interviews and questionnaires during conducting research on the location is a total of 70 people. In the formulation of problem points two results obtained from the data of questionnaires respondents and interviews result that the influence of pedicab for tourists is not good because pedicab in pedestrian area, the absence of parking space cause the tourists not free to walk. But on the other hand pedicab are the choice of tourists because transportation can enter the small alleys so much faster. If the face of the pedicab is improved and the quality of the pedicab is improved in order to be more comfortable, it does not rule out pedicab as a tourist attraction. From the research result that the influence of pedicap for tourists is able to enjoy the hospitality of the people of Yogyakarta ie pedicab driver, pedicab existence provides lessons for tourists about the rigors of life, pedicap also help tourists at night need transportation because rarely public transportation operate at night. Tourism is the main sector for DIY. The number of objects and tourist attraction in Yogyakarta has absorbed tourist arrivals, both foreign tourists and domestic tourists. In 2010 recorded by Yogyakarta Tourism Department tourist visit as many as 1.456.980 people, with details of 152,843 from abroad and 1,304,137 people from the domestic. Yogyakarta is the second largest tourist destination after Bali. Various types of attractions are developed in this region, such as nature tourism, historical tours, cultural tourism, educational tours, shopping tours, even the latest night acctraction. Shopping tourism is a favorite tour of the past and until now, the shopping tour that is often visited by tourists is shopping in Malioboro area.
