Institute of Technology, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, India Abstract: Women in working life have received considerable attention in the last few years around the world. The voice of women in the media is loud and clear, and it is certainly not easy any more to disregard issues of equality. This appears to influence the health of women, as manifested both at the workplace and in their private life. In this literature, concentrated on health issues important for women and an attempt is made to predict women’s future prospects. This paper gives different health issues faced by working women during last few decades. At the end of the paper remedies and reviews for above concern is given. Keywords Concerns, Health issues, working women ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Introduction Changing lifestyle and economic condition of families have made more women to work at different levels. A woman many times have to perform best as valued employee at their work place during working hours and is expected to be homemaker after working hour. This makes the workload of women almost double which effects mental and physical health of women. It is found, that women themselves are not very serious about their health related issues, which can lead to a major issue at later stage (WHO report 2009). Women always multiply contribution to society in role of productive and reproduce roles. Still studied reveal that, at most part of the world their health is neglected either by themselves or by society. The association of chambers of commerce and industry of India (ASSOCHAM) survey shows that 42 percent of working women suffer from lifestyle diseases like backache, obesity, depression, diabetes, hypertension and heart ailments. Besides, twenty-two per cent of women surveyed suffered from chronic diseases while 14 per cent had acute ailments. It is studied that different roles of women in life cycle effects health at different level physical, physiological and socially. In many cases, it is found that generally things effect health of men and women equally but condition like childbirth, puberty etc. affects health of women in specific way that requires attention and care. Thus, women health becomes more critical for study and discussion. Change in social status and living style has added to health issues with women. Increase in harmful social behavior like in relation to sex, tobacco and alcohol use and physical activity has also hampered health overall. Income and social upbringing is one of the major causes of health issues in women. Many women suffer with issues that are due to lack of proper upbringing and lack of nutrition during
