A race for money, luxury and power has made all the members in a family to work for achieving their desires that eventually has forced woman to go out for work. Social attitude for women equality does not show as its found in literature that woman equality is better said than shown. Women are less consider as decision maker at home or workplace due to gender bias attitude. Many recruitment shows gender bias attitude considering odd working hours or more physical work, which gives less opportunity to women. She always has to shoulder the burden of household chores along with her carrier burden. This paper gives review about women making changes in life by being financial independent and homemakers. It also reflects hurdles and harassment of women at work places and changing attitude of society. It gives way of getting independence in an actual free manner. The sky rocketing expenditure of living, increasing expenses on education of children, increasing cost of housing properties in India push every family in India to look for methods and resources of increasing the household income. As a result, women in India who were mostly known as homemakers are forced to go for jobs and take up even careers that were considered only suitable for men such as working in night shifts in call centers or BPOs. 21st Century, women are considered as the good home maker and also managing the work environment of the today world. Due to change in our life style, it is inevitable that woman has to go for work to economically balance her family even after her marriage. Due to this, woman has to face lot of sociological and psychological problem in and outside her family. This is one of the major social problems of today in all over the world. Especially in Indian context this problem is the most recent one which requires more attentions and solutions. In the present day of our modern society, the process of industrialization and urbanization is increasing in our society. Working women in India are faced with lot more challenges than their counterparts in the other parts of the world. In India men do not share on most of the household chores, it is women who have to cook, clean the house, do the dishes, wash clothes, get their children ready for school etc.
