At the beginning, the correlation between competition and innovation is dealt with. This shows the importance of competition for better ideas and workmanship. Later, the paper discusses the case study of CREATO: A Project Competition for Diploma Students of Gujarat State. For the same, later part of the paper indicates about student outreach and efectiveness of the competition among the diploma students of Gujarat. Generally, innovation is focused mainly on product and process. A product innovation brings something new to the market that improves quality and range of product. A process innovation is a way of making or delivering the goods or services, best example can be given as in transportation online services for taxi like OLA, etc. There is a minor line diference between the word new and innovation.
