It gives awareness to the society about the right and importance of women in the sustainable development of the country as well as family. It also eliminates the main causes of the terrible practice against women. Without participating of women in any economic activities the overall economic development of the country is not possible in the world. It is also applicable to the sustainable development of the family in the society. This study attempted to find out the problems facing by the women entrepreneur in rural and urban areas and evaluate the risk taking capability of them. The primary data were from 150 women entrepreneurs in Thiruchrappalli District of Tamil Nadu. The result showed that the rural women have more problems due to lack of proper training and low risk taking capability. Introduction Though women constitute half of the society, in India she is not given any opportunity to play an active role in societal, political areas. She is just a parrot spectates. The Indian society which is patriarchal and male dominated for entireness has kept under confinements for ages. From cradle to grave she is dependent and one or their male member of the family. The war only for women emancipation from time to time by poets like Bharati and Social reformers like Periyar E.V Ramasamy have not so far yielder required as desired fruits. But now whether themselves, who have remained highest voiceless have begun to realize the time has come for their emancipation as the real emancipation tries in getting and enjoying the triple fraction to thought, speech and action for which the pre requisite is education which open to gender portraits of new avenues of employment and creates an sustain self -confidence and self- reliance.
