Socio-economic status has a close link with the education, income and occupation of the individual. Health outcomes are measured by length and quality of life and these outcomes are influenced by modifiable factors such as health behaviours, health care and physical environment. Every person has stress with certain variations but the people with good education, income and socio-economic status diminish the stress by the support of their available resources. Highly educated and financially sound families have several protective factors over their good health. Public health policies of the governments influence the healthy living conditions of the people. Health disparities cause due to the public health policies of the governments. These policies have caused in the stratification of social classes. Nutrition, lifestyle, environment and genetics are the four pillars of the foundation of health. The fifth determinant of health is medical care, which is connected with the socio-economic factors of the family. Nutrition and lifestyle are also related to socio-economic factors. Socio-economic justice can reduce the health inequity in the society because healthy food, healthy lifestyle, healthful behaviours and high-quality health care have a strong link with socio-economic determinants of health care. Keywords: socio-economic determinants, education, occupation, nutrition, lifestyle, health care Introduction Health and health care are fundamentally connected with the socio-economic status of the family. The education, income and occupation define the socio-economic status of the individuals. The health outcomes of the family are connected with all these factors. Health disparities are closely related to socio-economic disparities of the family. Empirical shreds of evidence are strongly supporting the links between socio-economic status and health status of the family. There are many components and policies which provide various resources for making socio- economic status. World Health Organization (WHO) defined as the social determinants of health are the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age. These circumstances are shaped by the distribution of money, power, and resources at global, national, and local levels. The social determinants of health are mostly responsible for health inequities-the unfair and avoidable differences in health status seen within and between countries. Education is the most important component because it shapes the employment opportunities and earning potential of a person.
