Our submission focuses on research conducted into public health model approaches to youth involvement in violence (Klose 2019), as well as the impact of negative language and imagery in the media and the discriminatory and negative stereotyping of children in conflict with the law more widely (Gordon 2007; 2012; 2016; 2018). Our joint submission draws on our combined expertise of having researched, written and published in these areas.
